Tech Tuition Freeze Gets Praise from Across the State/Tech Baseball Coach Sees Son Become Champion

The decision by the Texas Tech Board of Regents to freeze tuition for the 2008-2009 school year is getting a lot of positive feedback from across the state. Not only is tuition holding steady for the upcoming school year, but student fees along with room and board will stay at the same level too. The regents could have raised tuition by 4.4 percent.

Texas Tech head baseball coach Larry Hays witnessed first-hand his son Shannon winning a national title. The elder Hays, who coached the Lubbock Christian University baseball team to the NAIA national title 25 years ago, was on hand this past week to watch the LCU women's softball team will the NAIA championship.
