Most of the work so far on the Leisure Pool has been below ground level up untill now. Walls and structures are now visible on the site.
The demolition has begun on Thompson and Gaston Halls to make room for the new Business Administration Building. Most of the work right now is on the Gaston side of the structure as walls are starting to be torn down.
The new Overton Hotel and Conference Center now stands at 15 stories tall. This will be final heighth of the new structure. Brick work has begun on the lower part of the building.
The Centre II, directly east of The Centre in North Overton has really taken shape. Most of the construction right now is on the area that will front the parking garage that is located in the center of the site.
There are plenty of signs of homecoming across campus as the weekend get near. The most notable are the homecoming boards placed along Broadway at the main entrance of campus. The theme for homecoming this year is "Tech at Night." A take off of Nickelodeon television's "Nick at Night," featuring old tv shows.
There are also a couple of pictures of the Administration Building Bell Tower that resemble the one I took a couple of years ago made MSNBC.com's "Prettiest Campus" feature.
Hope you enjoy the shots, and feel free to post any comments or questions.
