Dan Law Field Renovations to be in Place for 2012 Season

The construction fences will go up around Dan Law Field later this month as soon as the current season ends so the $5-million renovation can get underway.

The renovations will improve the seating bowl, add luxury boxes, and a new facade.

Red Raider baseball coach Dan Spencer on the upgrades from the Lubbock Avalanche Journal:

“This is huge for Texas Tech baseball and I’m just really thankful for all the donors and the administration for getting it done,” said Spencer, who was in Columbia, Mo. for the Red Raiders’ Big 12 Conference series against Missouri on Friday. “I think it will look good empty, and I know that’s a weird statement, but it will look good when we bring recruits in the fall or the spring or winter when we’re not playing. And I think more than anything the fans deserve it.
