The scoreboard in the United Spirit Arena displays the number 880 to represent former Texas Tech men's basketball coach Bobby Knight becoming the all-time winningest coach in NCAA history. The Red Raiders defeated the New Mexico Lobos 70-68 on January 1, 2007 to move Knight past Dean Smith on the all-time wins list.
