These are from tonight's game at the USA. They are a little grainy because I had to turn up the ISO on the camera because I don't have a lense yet that can handle low light situations.
Announced crowd of 13,000 plus tonight. Three dollar tickets, a quality opponent, and an exciting home team provided for a good combination this evening.
A lot of activity was going on at the stadium today when I took these shots during the lunch hour.
They are placing pre-cast concrete seating decks in the upper level on the east side. They are raising the seat decks from outside of the east side building, up and over the entire structure. You can see the process in some of the shots below.
The have begun placing some of the exterior brick along some of the main columns on the esb as well.
Due to the openings being covered by tarps and plywood, you cannot see a whole lot of what is going on inside the structure.
As I was walking around the stadium, I realized all of this will be ready or close to ready by kickoff of next season.
The first two photos are from the Marsha Sharp Freeway. They are in the process of putting up the large over-head signs along the freeway. The second shot is the new Texas Tech University sign along the east bound lanes of hte freeway near the 19th Street exit.
